Chipotle’s wastefullness

Have you ever gotten the dressing at Chipotle? For those of you not familiar, Chipotle is a fast food burritto place that serves, what I call “clean” meat. No hormones or antibiotics. It is not organic, but at least in the right direction. They seem to have a thumb on the pulse of the socially conscious movement. Except when it cones to their dressing packaging. I have made a comment to the employee ringing me up almost everytime I go there. Sometimes the joke approach gets a laugh – “Could I get less dressing in a bigger container?” They usually take a second and then chuckle with an “I know”.

Well should I drop them an email about it? Oh, why not. Might as well.

I have two perspectives on the “sent from my iPhone” tag line.
1. Do you have an iPhone? No? Well than I’m better than you. (popular perspective)

2. This email was sent from my mobile device and may be short because I’m on-the-go right now or it may have misspelllings due to a non-tactile feedback interface or it may have wrong words due to shifty, i mean shitty, predictive text.

My inclusion of the tag follows definition #2 because owning an iPhone doesn’t make me better than you. There’s is SO much more that goes into that.

WordPress Blog inside Apple iWeb Site

So My first post should be about, well, my first post. Since I use Apple’s iWeb to create my site, I decided to insert my wordpress Blog using an iframe into an iWeb page on my MicahAtHome.com site. You may be thinking “Hey doesn’t iWeb have a Blog template page already”? Yes it does, but it has a few limitations. Some inherent to the iWeb program and some inherent in the blog module itself. The deal breaker was tags by category. I want to be able to label each post under it’s own category. This way if you want to read only about Mac stuff you can select the APPLE/MAC category and only those posts will show. So, since I constantly hear great things about wordpress (Some I see already in making this first post, others I’m sure I will discover soon), I decided to just go with it. It’s free and so far it rocks. So I guess I should make a post on HOW TO do what I did. OK, here it goes…oooh, how about a video of how to do it.

OK so this is how I did it. I’m using iWeb 2.0 which is part of iLife 08′. aAt the bottom of your iWeb window click “web widget” and select “HTML snippet”. Insert this code (remove and ):

Apple Releases iLife 09

Apple's iLife 09'

So I got the new iLife 09 and am testing it out on my Mac Mini first. My Mini is hooked up to the living room Vizio 47″ LCD. We watch movies on it and is pretty stripped down. I use it as a testing machine before I install on my Macbook Pro. So far so good! I have tried iWeb 3.0 and loaded in this website. I use a third party theme and it worked great. More on this later. I’ll check out iMovie next.

Learning to Type Faster

So I am really loving this wordpress blog. gonna be addicted. I need to learn to type faster if I’m gonna be on this thing this much. I’m not a “hunt and peck” typer, but I do have to look when typing. sometimes I try not looking, but it’s like going down the stairs without looking. As soon as I start to think about it, bam I fall on my face. OK so not that bad but, yes I hit the wrong letter. Anyone know of an outstanding program that teaches you to type?
